The Strategy of Integrating Enterprise Culture into College
English Teaching Under the New Curriculum Reform

Abstract. With the overall promotion of the new curriculum reform, teachers’ teaching ideas have greatly changed. Under this background, how to apply the concept of new curriculum reform guide the reform of college English teaching is an important task. Therefore, it is very important to study the teaching strategies of college English teaching. Culture and language are complementary and inseparable, which requires us to carry out cultural teaching during English teaching process. In this paper, we focus on the strategy of integrating enterprise cultures into college English teaching, and discuss several cultural teaching problems in college English class. As a language required course, English not only strengthen the learners’ language skills, but also enhance humanistic quality of students. However, current college English teaching takes the examination as the goal, which cannot meet the needs of the learner’s professional stuff. We propose the strategy of integrating the professional background into English teaching, in order to improve the students’ ability of comprehensive application of English and the professional quality.

Introduction
With the development of economic globalization, the speed of information exchange is faster and the world is becoming smaller. The earth village causes communication more frequently. As a common language for international offi cial communication, English has brought a good communication environment to the people of all ethnic groups all around the world. At the same time, culture and language are inseparable, because language is a part of culture which cannot be separated. Therefore, English teaching cannot be separated from the cultural teaching. English teaching should be practical, that means, students need to master the foreign language which related to the professional culture, and use it in practice. Therefore, it is an inevitable trend to integrate the College English teaching reform with the professional and cultural background.
Traditional teaching methods only teach the blunt and boring language knowledge to students, whether students accept or not, the teachers only complete their teaching tasks. Nevertheless, new curriculum reform policy defines that: the teacher is the leading role, and the student is the main body. Teachers should create a good language learning environment or atmosphere in the classroom, and guide students into the learning state.
On the basis of understanding the concept of the new curriculum reform in college English teaching, in order to further improve the level of English teaching, we can an start from the following aspects:
·Renew the teaching ideas, and build up democratic atmosphere.
·Construct a language background, and simulate situational teaching.
·Strengthen the knowledge of innovation and cultivate the ability of innovation.
·Optimize teaching evaluation system, to carry out a comprehensive evaluation.
·Combine the professional background culture with English.
·Instill the connotation of enterprise culture to students.
University is mainly to cultivate skilled talents, thus,

2 The Proposed Methodology
The Connotation of Enterprise Cultures.Values, behavior standards, enterprise management philosophy, business philosophy, corporate spirit and so on, constitute the core content of corporate culture. Enterprise culture is a kind of human-centered enterprise management theory, which emphasizes some soft elements in management, and the core meaning is the enterprise values.

With the rapid development of social economy, higher education is concerned by most people, and enterprise management and cultures are also concerned by many school administrators. However, enterprise culture education does not

have a complete system to ensue an appropriate English approach. At present, there are some defi ciencies in the following aspects:
·Schools only pay attention to language teaching, but lack of enough corporate culture education.
·Enterprise culture education is not included in the college English curriculum system.
·The construction of campus culture and the enterprise culture education is out of line, and the professional characteristic is insuffi cient enough.
Due to above disadvantages, we propose that colleges should combine the enterprises cultures with English teaching method, in order to improve students’ professional skills.
The Possibility of Integrating Corporate Cultures into English Teaching.English teaching and the cultivation of corporate culture have a common purpose, that is to improve people’s capability. The main contents of enterprise culture are language, text, graphics, and propaganda, and as a wide-used language, English is a sort of tool to perform these contents.
There are many key words in corporate culture, such as trust, responsibility, team spirit, law-abiding, etc., and these words are often used in College English textbooks. In the course of English teaching, teachers can guide students to pursue the meaning of these keywords, and introduce related notion of corporate culture.
In college English teaching system, an interactive teaching mode is required, which combines students’ learning requirements with employment requirements. In this way, English and professional knowledge and skills are connected with each other.

How to Integrate the Corporate Culture into English Teaching.The stage of college English is not a simple stage of general English learning, and English teaching materials need to be combined with relevant professional knowledge in order to meet the needs of students in the future employment. Therefore, college English teaching needs to establish a people-oriented teaching concept, and fully consider the goal of personnel training.
·Pay attention to the transmission of enterprise culture. In the teaching content, the enterprise culture should be introduced as one of the objects; in the curriculum, teachers give students enough cultural knowledge.
·To establish the concept of combining language teaching with culture. Teachers should attach importance to the establishment of language environment, and offer students opportunities to contact corporate culture.
·Display a large number of enterprise culture information to students with multimedia, and create a good language environment and visual atmosphere.
Implementation Principles.
Principles based on basic English learning. With the development of society and the progress of education, many of high school students already had a good language foundation. Some people believe that college students do not need to learn English and they should spend more time on professional course study. Nevertheless, students’ language learning should not only be limited to professional content, colleges should cultivate students’ language ability and each professional cultural background in order to cope with the changes and needs of the future.
Parallel principle of pertinence and practicality. College English teaching focuses on practicality, namely, teachers need to teach professional knowledge and English vocabulary. According to the students’ learning needs and professional requirements, teachers should design a series of professional teaching program.
Several English Teaching Proposals.
1. Teacher Team Reconstruction: English teacher with rich teaching experience can figure out the students’ problems well, and put forward an appropriate teaching plan for every student. Schools should encourage teachers to actively increase their knowledge database, and continuously enhance their professional skills.
2. Schools offer adequate language courses: To ensure the English language proficiency of the students throughout the University, and to meet their different professional development needs, the colleges should offer enough language courses with different enterprise cultures. According to the student’s ability level and professional demand, college English teaching should be carried out in a hierarchical level.
3. Establish a sound evaluation system: Evaluation is an important part of teaching activities, which can test the student’s learning effect and obtain instructional feedback. However, Traditional tests cannot be used as the only way to detect the quality of students’ learning, thus we need more tools to implement this process, such as interview, term paper, stage test, etc..
4. Provide students some internship opportunities: The best way to test the effectiveness of study is to provide student with internship opportunities, in this way, students can apply their knowledge to a practical stuff.
3 Conclusion
With the overall promotion of the new curriculum reform, teachers’ teaching ideas have greatly changed. The stage of college English is not a simple stage of general English learning, related

professional cultural knowledge should be involved in order to meet the needs of students’ professional skills. In this paper, we focus on the strategy of integrating the professional background into English teaching, in order to improve the students’ ability of comprehensive application of English and the professional quality. Under the new teaching reform idea, teachers cannot only teach students some basic English knowledge and vocabulary, though it is a simple task for them. Students will eventually need internships or formal work, and enterprise culture and other soft skills conducive to the cultivation of students’ professional quality during language learning. Therefore, we need complete set of English teaching system to ensure that students can learn enough professional knowledge throughout university.
