摘要：A gas collecting main, extruding coextensively of a coke oven battery, has aflexible, heat-resistant web closing one side. An apparatus that is mounted to, or that ismovable synchronously with, a coke guide cooperates with the flexible web to provide anopening in the collecting main wherever the apparatus stops so that gases, emitted froma coking chamber when the doors are removed and while pushing coke, are directed intothe collecting main only through such opening.
