1、 首先获得升级文件：
以V9.2.3升级为V9.2.4为例，先获得升级文件local-install-9.2.4.13.1.im和相应的local-install.md5文件 下载路径：http://www.f5.com.cn/f5gz/ptf/ftp.f5.com/Domestic/bigip/bip924/local-install-9.2.4.13.1.im 其它版本升级文件可以从以下下载链接获得：
http://www.f5.com.cn/f5gz/ptf/ftp.f5.com/Domestic/bigip 例如BIG-IP 9.1.2的升级链接为：

2、 使用ssh（端口22）登陆BIG-IP的管理网口：
注：如果现场有BIG-IP的串口Console线，也可以直接用串口Console线连接BIG-IP
进行升级。这样，可以直接跳到第6步。
管理网口的地址为液晶显示板上显示的IP地址。假定液晶显示板上的IP地址显示为192.168.10.245，则用SSH连接192.168.10.245。
注：Secure Shell Client 可以用以下链接下载：
http://www.f5.com.cn/f5gz/tools/SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.5.exe。 putty的下载链接如下：

3、 设置SCCP管理子系统的IP地址：
3.1在命令行运行以下命令： ssh sccp
进入SCCP管理子系统。
3.2运行netconfig设置SCCP管理子系统网络地址
sccp.bigip.com# netconfig

其中的192.168.10.247即为该台BIG-IP SCCP管理子系统的IP地址。注意不要与网络上其它IP地址冲突。这个地址是与液晶显示板上的IP地址不一样的。
注：在设置好SCCP管理子系统的IP地址以后，为了避免忘记，建议在BIG-IP管理网口
旁边贴个小标签，将IP地址写在上面。

3.3执行rc.network使地址生效：

4、 用SSH登陆SCCP管理子系统，
SCCP管理子系统的IP地址即为刚才设置的地址192.168.10.247。而网络接口还是BIG-IP前面板左边的网络接口。
登陆帐号为root, 缺省密码为default。
注：如果将BIG-IP的管理网口接入外部网络，而SCCP管理子系统已经配置了IP地址的
情况下，要确保管理网口的安全。可以通过passwd命令来修改SCCP管理子系统root帐号的密码。
5、 经用SCCP管理子系统连接BIG-IP负载均衡系统的Console口，
在SCCP管理子系统的命令行运行以下命令：

[ Top ] About the BIG-IP version 9.2.4 local upgrade This technical note describes how to copy an installation manager (IM) file of the BIG-IP software to the hard drive of the unit you want to upgrade to version 9.2.4. You can perform a local upgrade if you have direct access to the system. We recommend using the local upgrade if you have a direct connection to the unit you want to upgrade. Warning: You can only apply this upgrade to BIG-IP version 9.x systems. Warning: A valid service contract is required to complete this upgrade. Warning: You must reactivate the license on the BIG-IP system you intend to upgrade before you begin the upgrade. Important: You should perform the installation on the standby system in a redundant system. If you are satisfied with the results, failover and apply the upgrade to the other unit in the redundant system. [ Top ] Installing the upgrade If the BIG-IP system is currently running version 9.0 through 9.1.0, you can upgrade directly to version 9.2.4, using the following procedure. The process of upgrading to BIG-IP version 9.2.4 requires that you: Version: 3 文档名称: BIG-IP V9软件版本升级步聚 Save and back up existing 9.x BIG-IP system configuration data Download the installation IM package from F5 Networks Copy the local install package to the BIG-IP system The following sections describe how to perform these tasks. [ Top ] Saving and backing up existing 9.x BIG-IP configuration data Before you upgrade to BIG-IP version 9.2.4, you need to save your version 9.x configuration data. This prevents loss of data if, for any reason, the version 9.2.4 upgrade is not successful. Collect and archive the version 9.x configuration files, by typing the following command. bigpipe config save /config.ucs Note: If you are upgrading a system that is using zone files with named, you must manually back up all necessary zone files and save them to a remote location. After the upgrade is complete, you can place them on 9.2.4 system. There is a new location on the 9.0 system for these files: /var/named/config/namedb. Important: It is critical that you back up the archived configuration files to a remote location. In the event this process fails, you may need to use the remotely-stored file in order to restore your 9.x configuration data. [ Top ] Downloading the installation IM package from F5 Networks After you save the existing configuration, download the installation local-install-9.2.4.13.1.im file from http://tech.f5.com. For details about downloading the IM package, see SOL167: Downloading software from F5 Networks. [ Top ] Copying the local install package to the BIG-IP system After you save the existing 9.x configuration and download the local install package, you need to copy the local-install-9.2.4.13.1.im file to the /var/tmp directory on the BIG-IP system that you want to upgrade. The following example shows how you would use the scp command to Version: 3 文档名称: BIG-IP V9软件版本升级步聚 copy the file to the BIG-IP system, where After you copy the local install IM file to the BIG-IP system you want to upgrade, you can run the im command to extract the installation files from the local install IM file. [ Top ] Extracting the installation files and running the installation script Now that you have copied the local install package to the target system, you are ready to install the 9.2.4 software. On the BIG-IP system, use the im command to extract the installation files from the IM package. After you extract the installation packages, you can run the installation script. To extract the installation software 1. Extract the local-install script from the IM package using the following command: im local-install-9.2.4.13.1.im 2. To run the local-install script and complete the installation, type the following command: local-install The local install script prompts you for the following information: Terminal type? [vt100] 3. Press Enter to continue, or type the terminal type you are using. We recommend that you use vt100. A number of messages scroll by and then the installation starts. Once the installation starts, you can use the arrow and Tab keys to navigate the options. You can use the Enter key or highlighted letter key to select an option from a menu, or the Spacebar to toggle select boxes on or off. 4. The installer prompts you for the following information. o When prompted to choose an installation image, select the version 9.2.4 installation image. An installation location is a portion of a drive with adequate space required for an installation. If the hardware supports multiple installation locations, you can create more than one installation by installing the software on each location. At boot time, you can select the installation that you want to boot. To install on multiple slots, follow the on-screen instructions. o You then have the option to roll forward the supported configurations (config.ucs files) found on the system. If you are installing this software on a system that contains a 9.x version of BIG-IP software, you should have already saved a UCS in with the procedure Save existing 9.x BIG-IP configuration data. 5. After you have completed the prompts for the installer, review the installation options you have selected. Select Yes on the final BIG-IP install screen to begin the install.
