1. Enable students to improve their writing comprehension.
2. Learn about those specific writing skills needed in writing.

1. Master some commonly used words and expressions in terms of this writing, such as ,for my part, to my mind, as far as I am concerned, in terms of this topic.
2. Get hold of the regular steps while analyzing those requirements and pictures.

Step I Greetings
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step II Pre-writing
Lead in
1. do a self-assessment about their own scores with the ClickDaemon.
2. show them the teacher’s standards of scoring and steps to analyse the structure..
Sharing some of their writings
1. enjoy the good ones and help make corrections towards the bad ones.
2. read and recite the sample ,coping some classical sentences into notebook.

Ways for you to improve sentence styles
I.合并为简单 (1)把其中一个句子变为分词短语
(2)把其中一个句子变为从句
学校纸张只印了单面,浪费太大.
The papers are printed on only one side. It causes too much waste. 改:The papers are printed on only one side, causing too much waste.
………………………………………, which causes too much waste.
大家要从小事做起,才可以真正创造能源节约型社会,可持续发展才可以实现.
We should do from those small things. We can truly create the energy-saving society, and the sustainable development can come true.
改:Only doing from small things, can we truly create the energy-saving society,
and so does the sustainable development come true.

II.避免只使用一两个句式,要灵活运用诸如倒装句、强调句、排比句句等.
(1)我们看重的是有限的能源不是钱.
we really value the limited resources not the money.
改; It is the limited resoureces not the money that we really value.
(2) 虽然我很虚弱,但是我会努力
Though I’m weak, I will make the effort.
改:Weak as I am, I’ll make the effort.
III.适当的连接词
• ( 1). 表示平行、对等或选择关系
• and,both…and, as well as, together with, neither…nor, also, not only…but also, either…or, as well.
• (2). 表示转折关系
• but, yet, however, nevertheless (然而), in spite of, although, otherwise, while, after all.

• (3). 表示对比关系
• on the contrary, instead of, on one hand…on the other hand, just like, unlike, in the same way, at the same time, for one thing, for another
• (4). 表示因果关系
• so, for, therefore, as a result (of), because, owing to, due to, thanks to, on account (理由) of.
• (5). 表示时间、顺序关系
• shortly afterwards, first, second…, then, next, finally, for one thing, for another, in the end, eventually(最后, 终于)
• (6). 表示递进、强调关系
• besides, furthermore (此外), what’s more, in addition, moreover (而且), worse still, to make matters worse, indeed, certainly, surely, above all
• (7). 表示解释、说明关系
• namely (也就是), actually, such as, for example, for instance, that is to say, in other words, and so on, to tell you the truth, according to this
• (8). 表示结论
