By determining the tangential tilt angles over the disc and comparingthese tilt angles with a prescribed maximum allowed tilt angle, responsive actions aretaken if the maximum tilt angle is exceeded to stop operation or adjust the tangentiallens tilt to compensate for the tangential disc tilt usig with a bandwidth suitable for highrotational speeds.
